Newcastle Premier Health (NPH) are a leading provider of independent medical services, offering a one stop shop for: occupational health, travel medicine, wellness and primary health care.
The company was introduced to RTC North by one of our innovation advisors, who paid a visit to the clinic to understand more about the business and their needs and to offer potential support and business solution.
Mark Philpott, Managing Director of NPH said: “We are a small business that needed to consolidate our position and understand the market place and how to build a marketing strategy to enable us to grow over the next four years.”
NPH benefited from funding support as well as consultancy and business advice through a variety of RTC programmes including NHS Innovations (now Pathways to Innovation), Innovate 2 Succeed (I2S), Designing Better Business (DBB) and Scaleup North East.
Our consultant advisors have worked with NPH to develop an implementation strategy for their Mental Health service – in particular, repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) which is a potentially life-changing treatment option for adult patients who are living with clinical depression and other mood related disorders such as anxiety and bipolar disorder.
RTC’s I2S team provided tailored support to assist NPH to enhance innovation management and our DBB advisor Andy Brown worked with Mark and the team to develop a marketing strategy including conducting competitor and market analysis and conducting a marketing health check.
Mark said: “We undertook a project with Horizonworks to test the market – we reviewed the brand and marketing strategy. Since undertaking this project, we have recruited Lloyd van Konijnenburg, Client Relationship Manager, who is delivering and reporting on our strategic sales and marketing plan. We have seen a positive growth in the number of enquiries and have consolidated our position with existing clients.”
“We now have a very consistent and active presence on social media and a stronger brand being projected through new website and collateral.
“Our goal is to be recognised as the North East’s first choice provider of Occupational Health and Wellbeing and we aim to achieve this in the next four years. We will be building services around our core offering of Occupational Health and expanding our partnership model to provide our clients with access to innovative services that will add real value to our clients.. This will see the business grow and become more profitable and enable us to employ more staff into our clinical and administrative support teams.”
NPH are currently working with our Scaleup North East partners on the development of an action plan to support scale up activity and further development.
