Are you prepared for the way you do business in a post Brexit UK? How will your labour force, trade and the supply chain be affected when the UK leaves the EU?
Employers and businesses across the North East are invited to join Caroline Theobald CBE and a distinguished panel for a breakfast briefing which will make sure that our region is ready for all possible Brexit negotiation outcomes.
Speakers will share their insights and offer nine business planning tips; with the opportunity for attendees to put questions to the panel. Delegates will also be signposted to key organisations in our region, which can help implement business planning actions.
Sally Jones, Deloitte’s UK Director for International Trade Policy, will offer a practical and up to date perspective on the UK’s future trading relationship with the European Union and how businesses can get Brexit ready. Jude Kirton-Darling, Member of the European Parliament for North East England, who sits on the International Trade Committee, will share the latest news on negotiations in Brussels and Strasbourg. Neil Warwick OBE is a leading EU and competition lawyer at Square One Law.
Neil has worked with the North East Chamber of Commerce to produce a detailed Brexit Ready Toolkit for businesses in the region.
He will offer guidance about Brexit ready supply chains. Christopher Desira is Director of immigration specialists, Seraphus Solicitors, and will explain what the new settled status application process will mean for employers and employees and their families from other parts of Europe.
The briefing will begin with breakfast refreshments served from 08.15 and will close at 10.00 am. Partner organisations will be on hand after the briefing to answer questions one to one or in small groups on specific topics. Details available on sign up.
