Leading Effective teams is a 3 day programme aimed at new Team Leaders

Bringing on talented performers who know their function inside out is often the preferred solution when looking for new team leaders, but managing teams and former colleagues can be a challenge. This three-day programme will give new team leaders the confidence to flourish in their role by covering the fundamentals of communication, developing working relationships, objective setting and providing feedback.

Course Content:

Day 1 Monday 11th September 2017 – Introduction to Team Leading

Areas covered:

  • The role of the Team Leader
  • Personal development for the Role
  • Communicating instructions and plans
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships

Day 2 Tuesday 12th September 2017 - Communicating with the Team

Areas covered:

  • Constructing and monitoring a work plan
  • Role of communication in leading a team
  • Team briefings

Day 3 Wednesday 13th September 2017 - Monitoring Team Performance

Areas covered:

  • Setting clear objectives
  • Monitoring and evaluating work performance
  • Providing feedback

Please note that attendance at all three sessions and successful completion of assignments is required in order for learners to achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading.

**Eligibility Criteria and Costs**

Please note - This Level 2 course is fully funded through Skills Support for the Workforce funding (SSW) for eligible individuals/businesses in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and Country Durham. If delegates are not eligible for funding to access RTC training courses, places can be purchased at full cost plus additional accreditation fees. Alternatively, RTC training courses can be tailored to meet your specific requirements or be delivered in house.
