Innovation is the lifeblood of any organisation, and the more you seek to innovate, the greater your chances of success.

However, innovation isn't easy and in our thirty years in business RTC has helped thousands of organisations to create new products, introduce new processes and exploit new markets.

On the 23rd November we're opening our doors to you so you can find out more about what innovation is, and more importantly learn about how to make your organisation more innovative.

We'll be covering everything from how to generate new ideas, through researching and protecting them, to marketing and sharing your innovations though social media.

There's a full day of workshops and seminars, but you're free to drop in for whichever is of interest. You can even just pop in for a spot of lunch and to meet some of our innovation advisors for an informal chat.


The format for the day:

8.30 - Join us for breakfast and some informal networking

9.15 - 10.30 Idea Generation - Terry McStea. Start the day with a dose of creative thinking and take away various idea generation tools such as the Kano Method, persona creation and Six Thinking Hats

10-30 - 12.00 Parallel Workshops -

IP Management - Dan Mercer. Dan will give an overview of the various ways you should protect your innovations, from products to brand names, and then describe how to make sure you're really benefiting from what you're created.

Information Masterclass - Catherine Smith. We are bombarded with information and surrounded by sources of data, Catherine will show you how to navigate through it, and highlight some sources of infomation that you may not have come across 

Social Media Marketing - Polly Westergaard, Andy Brown. FInd out how to use LInkedIn, Twitter etc to raise your profile and shout about your latest product or service

12.00 - 13.00 Lunch and Networking - a chance to meet wth other like minded businesses, and to chat with the RTC team

13.00 - 15.00 Parallel Workshops -

Innovation Benchmarking - Terry McStea. This will allow you to look at your entire development process, from generating and selecting ideas, to launching your product, and will help you to assess each stage, and highlight areas for development.

Managing Innovation - People and Projects - David Boath. This will hep you to manage your various innovation projects, and the people that are delivering them.

Service Design - Nick Devitt. Getting your service right is just as important as your product, and can be crucial to it's success. Nick will help you focus on thos intangible aspects that ca make your product the one that customers love.

15.00 - 16.30 Innovation Clinics. All of the team will be on hand for one to one meetings to discuss the workshop activities in more details , or to help with some other aspect of innovation.
