Project Manager – Employability and Digital Skills
This is a full time, fixed term post to 31st July 2024 with the possibility of an extension or permanent contract at the end of the initial fixed term.
The post holder will support activity delivered through the BT ‘Get Work Ready’ and the NCSC ‘CyberFirst’ contract. Reporting directly to the Programme Manager, the post holder will support the project lead on achieving the BT ‘Get Work Ready’ KPIs and deliverables as well as providing support in relation to the NCSC ‘CyberFirst’ contract. In addition, the postholder will work alongside the wider STEM team with reference to the effective communication, awareness and understanding of the STEM agenda to regional businesses, schools, stakeholders and partners

Overview
Small businesses make up over 98% of the UK economy and are a critical driver of national productivity, wealth and job creation. RTC North Ltd delivers services, paid for by Government or by industry directly, to support this important area of the economy, and is currently growing its pool of business support specialists.
The postholder will be required to work with a portfolio of small businesses to help them improve by developing a growth strategy, innovating and/or accessing new markets.
The Role
The postholder will identify and support small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to improve their business innovation and/or growth capacity. Working with each company, the Specialist will thoroughly analyse existing capabilities and barriers, then broker and/or deliver an action plan that significantly improves the client’s systems and practices, leading to increased business success through development of a growth strategy, e.g. through skills development, innovation or access to new markets. The support provided will be delivered through a combination of direct 1:1 support, 1:many workshop and events.

Project Administrator
The role is integral to the success of RTC. The post holder will support other team members by providing a full administration service, including correct and full completion of relevant documentation and CRM inputs, and will contribute to key deliverables and target outputs. This may include occasional attendance at conferences and events in the UK.
The Person
We are looking for experienced Administrators who can easily adapt to working across multiple tasks and projects, or applicants who have some experience and have the ability to develop in the role.
