As we approach STEMFest Yorkshire and Humber I wanted to take the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contributions of our STEM Ambassadors, who dedicate their time and expertise to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators, engineers, and scientists.

Our STEM Ambassadors serve as role models and mentors, igniting curiosity and passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects among young people. Through interactive workshops, classroom visits, and hands-on activities, they bring STEM concepts to life and demonstrate the real-world applications of these disciplines. By sharing their own experiences and career journeys, STEM Ambassadors inspire students to pursue STEM-related education and careers, ultimately shaping the future workforce.

In an increasingly technology-driven world, there is a growing demand for individuals with STEM skills and expertise. By engaging with schools, colleges, and community groups, STEM Ambassadors help bridge the skills gap by equipping young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in STEM fields. By exposing students to diverse STEM career paths and opportunities, STEM Ambassadors empower them to explore their interests and pursue rewarding careers in STEM-related industries.

Diversity and inclusion are essential for driving innovation and fostering creativity in STEM fields. STEM Ambassadors play a pivotal role in promoting diversity and inclusion by reaching out to underrepresented groups, including girls, minorities, and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. By actively engaging with diverse communities and challenging stereotypes, STEM Ambassadors help create more inclusive STEM ecosystems where everyone has the opportunity to succeed and contribute.

For the last two decades, RTC, through the STEM Hub, has been at the forefront of STEM education, impacting 76,000 students annually and engaging more than 1.2 million students overall. These impacts can only happen with the support from our STEM Ambassadors, so, I want to extend our immense gratitude to you all. Your dedication, passion, and generosity are shaping the future of STEM education and inspiring countless young minds to reach for the stars.
