STEMFEST Tees Valley

02nd Sep 2022

10 schools and 10 companies are taking part in STEMFEST Tees Valley this October. The event is a chance to bring education and industry together to inspire and encourage young people from the Redcar and surrounding area to study STEM subjects.

This event is an interactive way for pupils to connect and learn about STEM companies in their area in an exciting and engaging way. Dawn Ross, Liaison Coordinator at the North East STEM Hub, comments:

“We are delighted to announce the launch of a new Enthuse Partnership, with thanks to ‘Anglo American’. To celebrate this launch, we have partnered with Redcar and Cleveland College and are delivering a one-day STEMFEST event. Year 9 pupils from local schools within this partnership will get the opportunity to work with five local companies who will be delivering a STEM experience.”

STEMFEST is a stimulating opportunity to spark young people in the Tees Valley area, encouraging them to investigate STEM subjects whilst introducing them to different career paths. There are lots of new upcoming opportunities on the horizon in Tees Valley. The more it is showcased how interesting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics can be, the more our young people of the future are able to make great career choices to lead innovation.
