Graduation Success as Gemma Ross Joins IT Department Full-Time

RTC North is proud to celebrate the success of Gemma Ross, who has graduated from Northumbria University with a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and has now joined the organisation's IT team in a full-time role. Gemma's journey from student to employee demonstrates RTC's commitment to nurturing talent, supporting skills development and helping the next generation build rewarding careers across the North.

Having worked at RTC alongside her studies over the past two years, Gemma successfully balanced university life with gaining valuable hands-on experience within the business. Following her graduation, she has now taken the next step in her career by transitioning into full-time employment with the organisation. Gemma will continue to support RTC North's digital infrastructure and technology services as part of the IT team, bringing with her both academic knowledge and practical experience gained during her time with the company.

Speaking about her new role, Gemma said:

"I'm looking forward to learning from my team, taking on a more supportive role and consolidating my learning from university. My team are very talented, and it is a fantastic opportunity to be able to work more closely with them. RTC has been a wonderful company to work for; the atmosphere is always positive and friendly, and I'm inspired by the hard work everyone puts in. I also appreciate the flexibility, which has enabled me to continue part-time around my university studies over the last two years."
