Mentoring STEM

09th May 2021

School kids have been hit hard this past year, and we are hoping to generate a bit of positivity and support for primary students in the Tees Valley area.

We are looking for Mentors to support, encourage and inspire Primary students aged 7-11 years old in the Tees Valley area.

This will be a Primary focused group mentoring programme delivered from the start of the next academic school year. Primary pupils will work closely with a mentor from industry to develop skills, broaden their horizons and learn about the world of work. The programme is also aimed at building confidence and the abilities to tackle any tasks given to them in the group settings by the Mentors.

The Mentors will support students in small groups of 4-5 pupils for a minimum of 45 minutes per group, per month. This programme is available to schools in the Tees Valley area only, but Mentors can be from across the North East.

Each Mentor will have 4-5 students per group to support face to face or virtually from the academic year start September 2021 and will end on the 15th of July 2022.

Please register your interest if you feel this is something you would like to take part in. A member of the team will be in contact shortly when we have the full list of schools available and the next steps.
